About Us: How we get the best price

So how is it possible for you to obtain a lower building price, for the builder to construct your home and cover his costs and for BBP to also get paid?

We do this in four ways:

  • We obtain volume discounts
  • We create competition amongst the builders to win your job
  • We by-pass builders salespeople
  • We have low overheads

Volume Discounts:

We all know that buying in bulk saves money. Buying one carton of soft drinks produces a cheaper unit cost per can than just buying one can on its own. Buying one car direct from the car yard is more expensive than if you bought 10 per month direct from the manufacturer via a fleet discount. Even frequent flyer programs are an example of discounting, where the more you fly the more discount that is given on your next travel.

But in the above examples how would you get the cheap soft drink if you did not want to buy the whole carton? How do you get the cheaper car price if you only want to buy one car? How do you get cheaper travel if you only want to fly once?

So how do you get a lower building price if you only want to build once? Well that’s where BBP can help. We pool your job together in mass with other consumers’ jobs to create a VOLUME POOL of building jobs available every week. This volume pool stimulates builders to price low to win the Broker’s clients building projects. Builders outlay NO advertising or marketing costs to obtain these jobs from the Broker, resulting in prices for these jobs being lower and consumers obtaining a builder direct price. With builders having little control as you own Copyright, they can only do one thing - bid hard and price low to get your business.

At BBP with our volume we deal builder direct and by-pass the sales area when getting a price for your building project. The chance of getting a better price on your own shopping builders with just one job is very remote.

BBP can approach any builder and many that you will already know and they will also approach any builders you request. BBP dealing this way takes not just your one job but several others to create a volume around your job. We do not just get a cheap price from any builder we get great prices from quality builders that you discuss and select so you have full control on the quality of the builders we approach.

Competition:

When we draw your building plans we give you the copyright to them. Owning copyright means that you can shop the builders and have them bid on your job. You doing this on your own with your ONE job does not give you any negotiating power because there is no repeat business for the builder and you will still go via their salesperson. When BBP submits your plans into the bidding process, builders bid low because they know that unlike you, BBP are aware of the opportunities for savings, we will likely ask them to bid again and we deal with management and not the salesperson. As in most things, competition creates better prices.

By-pass Salesperson:

Salespersons play a vital role in the building industry, after all who else will sit all day over the week-end and mid week in the sales centers at the display villages handing out brochures and answering your questions. When you buy this way the salesperson gets paid a commission on your job. When you have the copyright to your plans, BBP management will by-pass the builder’s salesperson and deal direct with the management of the building company. That saving to the building company is reflected in their lower price to BBP which we pass on to you.

Overheads:

Now you know how expensive it is just to buy a block of land. Then add to that the cost of building a house on it and then furnishing it and landscaping. Most people then take 20 – 30 years just to pay for it. Have you ever wondered who pays for the land and house and furnishing and landscaping at the display villages? Sometimes there are three to four homes from one builder at a display village and then the builder may have four or five other display villages throughout the metropolitan and country areas. In addition there are big outlays on advertising and marketing these display villages. BBP knows who is paying a share for the display villages, YOU the consumer and this is reflected in the price you pay when you select and build with the builder. BBP DO NOT have display villages.
